MeetingWorth

Terms and conditions.

Effective October 1, 2026

Published for pre-launch review; may be updated before launch.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your download, purchase, access to, and use of the MeetingWorth iOS app (“MeetingWorth” or the “App”). MeetingWorth is provided by Joel Doherty (“I,” “me,” or “my”). By downloading, purchasing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What MeetingWorth does

MeetingWorth is a business planning utility that estimates the time and financial cost of meetings. It can create estimates, compare possible savings scenarios, run a live cost timer, save meetings, and prepare aggregate summaries for sharing.

MeetingWorth’s results are estimates based on assumptions and information you enter, such as compensation, loaded-cost multipliers, work hours, attendee counts, duration, and recurrence. Results are for general planning and discussion only. They are not payroll calculations, invoices, accounting records, tax or legal advice, proof that a meeting occurred, or a substitute for professional judgment.

2. Your assumptions and decisions

You are responsible for the completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness of the information and assumptions you enter. Actual employment costs, attendance, meeting duration, and financial effects may differ from the App’s estimates.

Savings scenarios compare assumptions. They do not promise or guarantee cash savings, cost reductions, productivity gains, or any other business outcome. You remain responsible for decisions made using the App and for independently verifying any result before relying on it for budgeting, staffing, compensation, financial reporting, or another consequential purpose.

3. Compensation data and shared content

You may enter compensation and other workplace information only when you are authorized to possess and use it. You are responsible for following applicable laws, workplace policies, confidentiality obligations, and contractual restrictions.

MeetingWorth can generate aggregate meeting summaries and Team Cost Cards that are designed not to display individual names, salaries, or compensation rates as compensation details. You decide whether, where, and with whom to share any output. Before sharing, you are responsible for reviewing the output and confirming that the aggregate information, meeting name, and surrounding context are appropriate and do not disclose confidential or sensitive information.

4. Local storage, backups, and deletion

MeetingWorth stores people, compensation assumptions, meetings, and settings locally on your device. The App does not provide its own account, cloud database, synchronization, export, or recovery service. Data may be included in an Apple device backup depending on your device and backup settings, but I do not control or guarantee Apple’s backup or restoration behavior.

You are responsible for protecting your device and maintaining any device backup you consider necessary. Deleting records or the App, losing or damaging the device, changing devices without a usable backup, or a storage failure may permanently remove your data. Because I do not receive or hold that data, I cannot retrieve or restore it. See the MeetingWorth Privacy Policy for more information.

5. Free version and MeetingWorth Pro

The free version includes the features described in the App and on the MeetingWorth website. “MeetingWorth Pro — Lifetime” is an optional, one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It is not a subscription. Pro unlocks the paid-version features identified at the time of purchase for use under these Terms and Apple’s applicable purchase and account rules.

“Lifetime” describes the non-expiring nature of the purchased entitlement; it does not mean your lifetime or mine, and it is not a promise that every device, operating-system version, feature, update, support channel, or the App itself will remain available forever. It does not include a right to future products or features unless they are expressly included.

6. Apple purchases, pricing, refunds, and restoration

Apple processes App Store downloads and in-app purchases. Prices may vary by country or region and may include currency conversion, taxes, or other amounts determined by Apple. The price displayed by Apple when you confirm the purchase controls.

Payment, purchase authorization, receipts, cancellations, and refunds are handled under Apple’s Media Services Terms and applicable law. I cannot issue an App Store refund directly. You may request a refund from Apple, subject to Apple’s policies and any rights you have under applicable law.

You can attempt to restore MeetingWorth Pro from the App. Restoration requires Apple to verify the purchase for the Apple Account currently using the App Store and may depend on device compatibility, App availability, and Apple’s services. No separate MeetingWorth account exists.

7. Apple’s license terms

The App is licensed, not sold. Where applicable, your license to use MeetingWorth is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple Standard EULA”). These Terms supplement the Apple Standard EULA for matters such as the App’s estimates, user-entered data, purchases, and acceptable use. If these Terms conflict with the Apple Standard EULA on a matter the Apple Standard EULA governs, the Apple Standard EULA controls.

Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, maintenance, support, warranties, or claims relating to the App except as the Apple Standard EULA or applicable law expressly provides. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms as they relate to the App, and may enforce those provisions upon your acceptance of these Terms.

8. Permission to use the App

Subject to these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA, I give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable permission to use MeetingWorth for lawful personal or internal business purposes on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by Apple’s usage rules.

You may allow colleagues to view or discuss aggregate output, but you may not sell, sublicense, rent, lease, distribute, or make the App available as a service to others except as Apple’s usage rules permit.

9. Acceptable use

You must not:

10. Ownership

MeetingWorth, including its software, design, text, graphics, branding, and other original content, is owned by Joel Doherty or the applicable licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you permission to use the App; they do not transfer ownership of the App or its intellectual property.

You retain whatever rights you have in information you enter and content you create. Because that information stays on your device unless you choose to share it, you do not grant me a general license to use it.

11. Updates, compatibility, and availability

I may provide updates that fix bugs, improve security, change features, or maintain compatibility. Some updates may be required for continued use. The App may not work with every device, region, accessibility configuration, or future iOS version.

I may change, suspend, or discontinue features or the App when reasonably necessary, including for security, legal, technical, or business reasons. When practical, I will avoid unnecessary disruption and provide notice of a material discontinuation through the App or this website. Nothing in these Terms requires perpetual updates, support, or availability.

12. Support

Support questions may be sent to [email protected]. I will make reasonable efforts to respond, but I do not promise a particular response time or that every issue can be resolved. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for MeetingWorth.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using MeetingWorth at any time and may delete the App from your device. I may suspend or terminate access to App features I control if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, if necessary to address fraud, abuse, security, or legal risk, or if the App is discontinued. When the circumstances reasonably allow, I will use a proportionate response and provide notice or an opportunity to correct the issue.

Termination does not cancel rights or obligations that by their nature should continue, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and terms concerning disputes. Any refund rights remain governed by Apple’s policies and applicable law.

14. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MeetingWorth is provided “as is” and “as available.” I do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate for your circumstances, compatible with every device or software version, or that local data will never be lost. I disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement to the extent those warranties may lawfully be disclaimed.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, guarantee, remedy, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

15. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Joel Doherty will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, lost business opportunities, business interruption, or loss of data arising from or related to MeetingWorth or these Terms, even if the possibility of the loss was known.

This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability that applicable law makes non-waivable. It does not limit any remedies you have under mandatory consumer-protection law. The exclusions apply only to the extent they are fair and enforceable in your jurisdiction.

16. Third-party services and links

MeetingWorth relies on Apple services for distribution, payment, entitlement verification, and optional device backup behavior. The App or website may also link to third-party sites. Those services and sites are controlled by their providers and are subject to their own terms and privacy practices. I am not responsible for third-party services beyond what applicable law requires.

17. Changes to these Terms

I may revise these Terms to reflect changes to MeetingWorth, Apple’s requirements, or legal and operational needs. The updated Terms and effective date will be posted on this page. Changes apply prospectively from the stated effective date; they do not retroactively waive rights or remedies that arose under an earlier version.

If a change materially affects existing users, I will provide reasonable notice through the App or this website when practical. Continuing to use the App after the revised Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the App.

18. General terms

If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms or your App license except as Apple’s rules or applicable law allow. These Terms and the Apple Standard EULA form the applicable agreement concerning your use of MeetingWorth, without limiting mandatory rights under applicable law.
